Perunding NFL Sdn. Bhd. (PNFL) was established in 1972. We are one of the leading Consulting and Chartered Quantity Surveyors in Malaysia, providing Quantity Surveying and Project Cost Management Consultancy Services. In addition to the core services of Quantity Surveying, we also offer the following specialist services:-

We have served many Clients ranging from Government, Semi-Government and Statutory Bodies to private and public companies, partnerships and individual Clients from the inception up to the completion of building and civil engineering works.

 

PNFL have experiences in many types of construction works including Civil Engineering, Office and Commercial development, Retail and Industrial development; Residential, Hotel, Leisure development; Transport buildings, including Airport Terminal and Railway Stations; Hospital and Medical Centres; Public buildings including Museum, Mosque and Educational buildings and Institutions.

The experience and technical know-how of our Project Team plays a major role to provide a wide range of services with the standard of professionalism required to satisfy the ever-increasing demands of our Clients.

 

PNFL has also planned, established, documented, implemented and maintained a Quality Management System (QMS) based on the International Standard, MS:ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System.

 

PNFL as one the leading company in the construction industry is fully aware of the importance of BIM and decided to establish a comprehensive network name BIM Management Practice Sdn Bhd (BMP) with international experts as its subsidiary company to adopt BIM into the Malaysian construction industry. We are pioneering the integration of the 3D models, 5D cost planning and Bill of Quantity production based on 3D measurements.

THE FOUNDER

DATO’ Sr. Hj. NIK FARID KAMIL started his career in Quantity Surveying in
1970 as a lecturer at the Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). In 1972, he
became a co-founder of Perunding NFL Sdn. Bhd. where he has led the
company’s overall development since inception.

 

 He has been involved in major national and international projects including the
Dayabumi & GPO HQ (JV), Heritage Park Putrajaya, Kompleks Dataran
Maybank, Taman Teknologi Malaysia, Bangunan Dewan Undangan Negeri
Terengganu and Kedah, KLIA Mosque, Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan
Malaysia, KLIA Administration Block and Passenger Terminal Complexes (JV
with other QS firms) etc.

 

 He has been actively involved in society works:
Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (ISM) as a member of the QS. Sectional
Committee (1973-1974 and 1977-1980) Chairman of Q.S. Sectional Committee
( 1983-1984) and a Council member (1978-1981). He initiated the Berita QS,
published and edited the early issues. The ISM awarded him the ISM Excellence
Award-Lifetime Achievement Award in 2007.
He was a member of the Board of Surveyors Malaysia (1977-1981), a mem b e r
of Board of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia (1986 - 2007) and a member of t h e
Board of Engineers Malaysia (1988 - 1992). He was the Chairman of QS
Accreditation Council (2001 - 2007). A member of the National Professional
Services Council, MATRADE (2002 - 2005). In recognition of his contributions
to the Board of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia, he was conferred the Board’s
Gold Award in 2003.
He served as an External Examiner to the Degree course in Quantity
Surveying at the Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) (1988 - 2004).
He has been serving the Masjid Saidina Abu Bakar As-Siddiq Bangsar as a
committee member (1977 - 1989) Secretary (1989 - 2007) and Chairman
(2007 - 2011).

 

 In recognition of his contribution to the Construction Industry and Society, he
was conferred Dato’ Paduka Mahkota Terengganu by H.H the Sultan of
Terengganu on July 20, 2001.

 Feasibility Studies

Advise on the projected returns from a development based on current Gross Development Cost (GDC) and Gross Development Value (GDV).

 

 Preliminary Estimates & Cost Plans

Work out the approximate cost of a project in collaboration with other consultants input for budget control.

 

 Tender Documents

Prepare Bills of Quantities and Specifications for calling of competitive tenders.

 

 Tendering and Contractual Procedures

Advise on the most suitable tendering strategy and advise on contractual arrangements.

 

 Recommendation of Contractor

Prepare tender evaluation and recommend to Client the most suitable contractor to be considered for acceptance.

 

 Cash Flow

Prepare projected monthly expenditure for Client’s budgeting.

 

 Interim Valuation

Prepare valuation of work in progress for interim certification / payment.

 

 Financial Statements

Prepare periodic Financial Statement at regular intervals to indicate the anticipated final cost of the project. 

 

 Cost Control

Cost check on all Variations proposed during the construction period to avoid over expenditure

 

 Final Accounts

Assess the amount of variations from the original tender and prepare the Final Statement of Accounts

BIM Management Practice Sdn. Bhd. (BMP) is a Multi Discipline Practice (MDP) wholly owned subsidiary of Perunding NFL Sdn. Bhd. with the aims to provide premium construction total integrated project delivery consultancy services with focus on delivering smooth running projects with effective dispute management throughout the phases of development, construction and completion.

 

What Services Do We Offer?

 

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

 

In our Project Management professional service we use expertise, project management techniques to oversee the planning, design and construction of a project, form its beginning to its end. The purpose of our service is to control a project’s time, cost and quality. The scope of services could be divided into three (3) main stages:

Stage 1 - Design, Procurement and Award Stage

Stage 2 - Construction, Supervision and Handing Over Stage

Stage 3 - Post Construction Stage

COST & CONTRACT MANAGEMENT

We provide cost management and quantity surveying (QS) services on a vast range of construction projects, including buildings, civil engineering, industrial, infrastructure and major highways projects. We are capable of providing 5D-QS Services doing 3D measurement from BIM Model.

 

BIM MANAGEMENT & MODELING

We in BMP create efficiencies through the entire life cycle of the project from concept design through to asset management. We are able to achieve this through fully integrated BIM workflow to allow efficient, accurate & timely sharing of information for successful cost, time & quality outcomes. Through sophisticated Model Mapping. BMP is providing Modeling Services from LOD 200 up to LOD 500 as per project stages and client’s need.

 

CLAIM & DISPUTE MANAGEMENT

Our Claim and Dispute Management services includes managing and resolving numerous claims and disputes in Malaysia and overseas which covers providing contractual advice, preparing and evaluating contractual claims, contract drafting, providing contract administration, audit and review services and arbitration services for civil engineering, building, power generation, oil & gas and petrochemical projects. We have extensive experience in dealing with wide range of contractual and commercial matters, our aim is to minimize our client’s risk and give add on value. We first will analyze the problems faced and what our client want to achieve.
